XSitePro Experiment Progress
This is the progress for the first few days..... new posts will be added to my XSitePro Blog (sorry but my blog has been infected with some trojan - I don't want anyone getting slimed so I have removed the link).

Finally took the plunge and bought XSitePro. I have been looking at the software for a few months but wasn't sure If I needed another web design package (I had been using FrontPage). Quite a few people in a private membership I belong to had bought the software and loved it so I thought I should give it a try. After all there is a great return policy......
"I understand that there is absolutely zero risk on my part. I can preview XSitePro without risking a single dime. If, after previewing XSitePro for 365 days (or at any time within the year), I feel it is not worth at least 10 times its purchase price in terms of present and future profits, I can return it and receive a refund of the entire purchase price. "

Spent a couple of hours reading through the manual. I usually just skim over manuals preferring to learn as I go and go back to the manual when I need something. But there is so much this program does reading the manual is kind of fun.
July 31st
Its Sunday - no work today.
August 1
I am supposed to be getting my house on the market - writing the add and submitting to the mls. But I am having fun tinkering around with XSitePro. This program is going to make things allot easier. I have decided to have my first site with the program be a testimonial for XSitePro. It is such an exciting program. I know its kind of crazy to put up a site in the competitive area of internet marketing but I'm going to give it a go because I think this program is worth promoting.
I have spent the better part of the day doing some keyword research, laying out what I want to put on this site, and writing content.
August 2
I spent the most of yesterday and all of today getting my content done. I've got 5 pages ready to get into XSitePro. Working with this program is a breeze. I have the site just about ready. I entered my content, formatted my pages in less than an hour. Time to publish the site.
August 3
Signed up the new website address with my server. Went to godaddy to change the name servers. Oops should have done that a couple of days ago - I forgot you have to wait for godaddy to propagate. But I want my site up now! LOL
August 4
OK - I checked my site - it is propagated now. Time to publish. The ftp program is build right into the software so I just hit the publish button and - bing0! I went to take a look at the site - uh oh my first problem. All I am getting is this.....

I am sure this is a server problem and not a problem with the software.
August 5
I could not figure out the problem so I posted it on the Content Desk forum and XSitePro forum. I got the answer right away and now I'm online! I knew it was something I did wrong. When filing out the ftp info I put " public_html" - but it needed slashes "/public_html/" Duh!
Now it's on to website promotion. Got to get this site indexed! I am going to put a link on another site of mine to see if I can get this site indexed. It has a PR of 4 but does not get spidered as much as I would like but I'll give it a try.
August 6th
Good news - Google has indexed my home page within 24 hours! Very cool. Now let's hope it doesn't get sent to the sandbox.
I installed a wordpress blog today but I need to customize it. In the past I have used blogger but wordpress seems to be a much better application. The problem is that there is a learning curve when it comes to customizing. It's all Greek to me.
I am going to put this page on my blog now - it will be much easier to follow the progress. Go to the blog now!
